Several are in Cornwall, including Walden Pond Cottage in St Blazey, which sleeps four. The charming stone cottage is on a country lane and has a little garden and a lounge with a wood-burning fire. Watersports in Greece
There’s an average daily maximum temperature of about 20C in October in the Peloponnese, where you’ll find the Messini Beachclub in Analipsi run by the activities specialist Neilson (0333 0143350, Sailing, canoeing, paddle-boarding and waterskiing are among the many watery pursuits — or else there’s mountain biking, with several challenging climbs nearby as well as less challenging routes to nearby villages. All-inclusive Lanzarote

It will be baking in Orlando, Florida, over the half-term, when temperatures usually range from 25C to 29C.
